Our mission

We are dedicated to advancing education, promoting the arts, literature, and sciences, and preserving Hellenic history and culture. We support academic achievement and foster a sense of community through scholarships and programs that empower young women of Greek descent to pursue their educational and professional goals.

Our vision

The Greek Women's University Club envisions a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates Greek heritage while inspiring future generations to excel academically, embrace creativity, and contribute meaningfully to society.

What we do

Scholarships since 1935. Music since 1989.

The National Music Competition

Held annually since 1989 and open to young men and women of Greek descent from 20 to 29 years of age. It is the only competition of its kind in the United States for young people of Hellenic descent, and the 2026 edition is the thirty-sixth.

GWUC Academic Scholarship

The club endows the Greek Women's University Club Academic Scholarship for Greek women who are full-time undergraduate students with at least sophomore standing, or full-time graduate students.

Membership

Join us

Membership is open to all women of Greek descent, and women who are related to an individual of Greek descent (i.e. through marriage), who are graduates of accredited colleges and universities.
